Today, I have the delight of Jennifer of Coupon Mommie coming over to show me the ropes of blogging. There is so much that I still do not know about how to set up the site and make it more user friendly. Keep in mind that the site will be under construction today if you encounter any problems.
Here are the meal plans for this week:
Breakfasts--leftover pancakes from freezer, cereals, oatmeal, cheese toast, and egg dishes
Lunch--sandwiches, leftovers, snack lunches. For Monday's lunch I'll make potato and kale soup and salad. Because we'll have our little ones with us, I'll have a snack plate of cheese, crackers, nuts, carrots, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as well. On Thursday, I'll be having lunch with a very special friend for her birthday.
Monday--Italian sausage, arugula, white beans
Tuesday--Venison tenderloin, Swiss chard, baked potatoes
Wednesday--Fish, greens, mac and cheese
Thursday--Salad and potato and kale soup from the freezer
Friday--I'll be traveling to Memphis. Knowing my sweet father, he'll have something fantastic cooked up for us when we get there.
Saturday--My sister's baby shower will be this evening. The plan is for us to have black bean salsa and regular salsa with tortilla chips as appetizers. For the main course we'll have bar-b-qued chicken breast, salad brought from my garden, possibly some baked beans, and roasted sweet potatoes. (The side dishes may change after my cousin and I go to the farmers market in Memphis). For dessert, my sister has requested brownies in ice cream. We'll have some allergen free brownies and ice cream for her and regular for the rest of the gals.
