Yesterday I met with Ali of knoxmoms.com. What a delight! Both she and her children were so nice, and it was great to put a face with a name. One of the many bonuses of meeting with her is that she told me of some exciting projects that KnoxMoms has planned for our community. I don't want to ruin any surprises, so all I'll say is that their booth at the Children's Festival of Reading sounds amazing! If you do not yet know about KnoxMoms, I encourage you to check out the site. I was pleased to learn today that they have similar sites in different cities. Because I have family in the Memphis area, the MidSouthMoms site will be another I'll check out frequently. Ali, thanks for all you do to keep the community informed!

We have never been able to make it. I will be teaching a couponing class that day from 1-2pm, but I still hope to make it before the day is over.
ReplyDeleteIt's from 10-3, maybe you could come in the morning? The Dollywood Penguin Players will be presenting their Llama, Llama play at 10am and then Anna Dewdney will be speaking at 10:45.
ReplyDeleteThat's right, that's the same day as the Ftn City workshop that I was hoping to attend. Unfortunately I'll be at the festival all day, as I'm on the planning committee. Please blog about any other workshops your planning, I would love to attend. And we'd love to have one at the Burlington Library, where I work. You'd have to set it up though, with a meeting room application. We'd be happy to advertise on the bulletin board!
