Details: Tennessee’s Free Fishing Day is set for June 6th this year, with dozens of Kids Fishing Day events being held across the state, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).
All fishing on public waters will be free that day. Residents and non-residents (adults and youth) are exempt from license and permit requirements for that day. In addition, youngsters, ages 15 and younger, may fish free for an entire week, beginning on Free Fishing Day and continuing through the following Friday, June 12.
