My Kroger Trip Today

I ran into Kroger this afternoon for the church and for our home.

These are the items I bought for the church/food pantry--

3 Bounty Paper towels, 50cts each after coupon was doubled

Martha White, on sale $1.39, used 55ct coupon

3 McCormick Grill Mates, free after coupon was doubled

3 Dole Pineapple, free after coupon was doubled

7 Suave deodorants, free after coupon was doubled

Total spent (tax exempt)—$3.34 (I realized I only gave them 6 coupons for the Suave.  I’ll bring the last one in next time I’m there, and the total will be $2.34.  Even though I checked the receipt, I didn’t look closely enough.)

Worth--$25.83

Total Saved--$23.49

These are the items I bought for our family. We’ll call this the “non-organic, junk food” edition. I wanted to have some quick and easy meals for my husband while I am away helping my sister with her new baby. 

2 Doritos, on sale $1.98, had loadable $1 off coupon

2 Comforts wipes, on sale $1.99 ea, used $4 off coupon, making them free

2 loaves of whole wheat bread,  $1.44 each (BOGO)

White Flour (hubby requested cinnamon rolls for Father’s Day, and the last time I made them with freshly ground wheat they didn’t rise)

Apples, on sale $1/lb

Totino’s Pizza Rolls $1

Lean Hot Pockets closeout $ 5.21 family size

2 all natural burritos, closeout

2 Crisco Sprays, closeout $1.67, used two 55ct coupons

3 Mighty Dog, free with coupons

Kroger brand hazelnut (for hubby for an early Father’s Day gift), on sale $2.50 each

Tilapia, on sale $3.59

3/4 pound ham, on sale $5.99/lb

1 Smithfield bacon, BOGO sale

1 hot dog bun, 1 hamburger bun, on sale $1ea, used 55ct/2 Kroger coupon

Golden Flake chips, on sale $1.52, used 55ct coupon

Country Bob’s, on sale $3.09, used $1 coupon (our daughter loves this stuff)

Naturally Preferred organic milk, $2.79

10 Carolina Pride sausages BOGO, used 5 $1.50/2 coupons (will store in the freezer for a cookout)

Penne Pasta, on sale $1.59, used $1 coupon

Kroger brand snack crackers, on sale $1.59

Total spent--$36.11

Worth--$97.40

Total saved--$61.29

  2. I bought the 4 pack, which was $2.88. The kielbasa was around $2.68. 2 packages for around $1.30 is a pretty good deal. :)
