The Secret City Festival is this coming weekend in Oak Ridge. My favorite part is the Lavender Festival that I told you about here.
The 7th Annual Secret City Festival will take place Friday and Saturday, June 19 & 20, 2009, in Oak Ridge.
In 2009, expect new activities & events, with something for everyone. Some of the events being planned for 2009 are:
- Main stage entertainment featuring a USO Variety Show on Friday and Survivor on Saturday
- New teen events and video gaming tent
- Free children's activities - for kids of all ages
- Tours of Oak Ridge historical facilities and sites - ORNL, Y-12 and K-25
- The largest World War II Reenactment in the South
- Antique and craft booths and juried art show
- Historic displays by the Oak Ridge Heritage & Preservation Association
- The 11th Annual Lavender Festival at Historic Jackson Square
