Sorry for the late notice on this, but it looks like there is still time to get on the bus. Our family participated in one of the farm tours last year, and it was a lot of fun. See below for more info:
Our July farm tour is Sunday, July 19. We leave Market Square at noon to visit Liles Acres Organic Farm, The Market in Maryville and Organicism Farm.
Liles Acres grows produce, keeps bees and chickens, and makes yarn from their llamas and angora rabbits. The Market is a collection of 5 locally owned shops, most of which focus on carrying local goods including meat, baked goods and produce. Finally, Organicism Farm is a young farm and first year vendor with the MSFM. We will learn the trials and successes of a new farm in East Tennessee.
The tour is $20 per person, $10 for children under 12. Transportation is included (we take a shuttle, and space is limited to 23 people). The tour will return to Market Square at approximately 6 p.m.
