The Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic

As many of you know, I am a social worker.  One of the many parts of being a social worker is linking people with resources.  I’ve been highlighting some programs over the last few weeks, which I hope will be of help to some of you.  If you know of a program that you would like for me to post about, please feel free to e-mail me or post the info in the comments section.

I receive no financial benefit from giving information on the programs, and I offer details on the programs in good faith.  It is my hope that all may benefit from any information posted on this site and will share what they learn here with others.

The Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic, located in Sevierville, TN (Information from their website)

Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic, Inc.

Alyene Reese, M.D. and Sue Elen Riddle founded the Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic with the goal to provide quality healthcare to the many people who live or work in Sevier County who cannot afford health insurance. Since the clinic opened in February of 1999, nearly 1500 new patients are added each year to our existing patient base. We strive to provide the best possible care in a warm and compassionate setting. In addition to medical care, we have added behavioral counseling, pharmaceutical resources, and dental extractions and hygiene to our list of services offered. Charges for treatment and services at the clinic are on a sliding scale based on the patient's total household income and the number of people in the household.

The Mountain Hope Clinic accepts only patients who have no health insurance. We provide primary medical and health care services, including health screenings, pediatric care and general medicine. We also provide some diagnostic procedures and treatment in the clinic, and make referrals to outside medical and healthcare professionals for conditions that cannot be treated on site. We have a modern dental unit that provides only extractions and teeth cleaning at this time. And we provide behavioral counseling for established clinic patents.

Go to The Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic website for more information on their services and for directions to their location.
