The 10th annual Hola Festival will take place on September 19, 2009, from 11am-8pm at Market Square in Knoxville, TN. This year there is a special treat for the kids. Thanks to Comcast, Nickelodeon's Dora the Explorer will be at the HoLa Festival from 11am to 2pm.
Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to donate non-perishable food such as rice and beans to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. There is a nominal charge for some of the children’s activities.

Live performances can be enjoyed at two stages. One is located at the intersection of Market St. and Clinch Ave., and the other is the main stage at Market Square. Among other acts, Jason and Thais Bonilla of Creative Expressions and Chagy the Clown will mesmerize young and old.
One of our main goals is to demonstrate the diversity of our cultures and music. You will hear the exciting sounds of Salsa, Cumbia and Merengue, the popular sounds of Mariachi, the enchanting music of the Andes, and even Flamenco and Zarzuela. We are proud that the Southern Arts Federation, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Tennessee Arts Commission has awarded us a grant for the second year in a row to bring Vientos del Pueblo to play music of the Andes.
There will be several dance demonstrations such as: Tango by KATS, Salsa by Salsa Knox, Mexican folkloric dances, Flamenco by Lucia Arte y Pasion, and others, like Capoeira, a Brazilian Martial Arts.
Other performers include Angel Zuniga Martinez, Trio Mariachi, Andy Maldonado, and more. The final act will include Kazique, a Nashville Latin band that will set Knoxville’s feet on fire!
