Chick-fil-a Gift Card deal and a note about holiday tipping

chick-fil-a-free coupon

Now through the end of the month (November), you can purchase a $20 gift card and get a free 2010 Calendar.  These calendars come packed with coupons, and usually cost around $5.  I am always happy when Chick-fil-a has this deal.  We purchase the gift cards as a Christmas gift for the men who pick up our trash weekly, and I save the calendar for my hubby.  My husband is able to get some free items for his work lunches, and the men are able to get a free lunch on us.  Get a peak at some of the coupons in the calendar HERE. Thanks Thrifty Mama for this deal info!

I want to add a comment here about tipping.  We have been giving gifts to the men who pick up our trash for years.  They are super nice guys, very efficient, and do a great job.  So many people do not realize how hard they work and how thankless their jobs can be.  In the early years when we had moved into our home, I would bake them a cake and supply them with forks, napkins, and plates to enjoy it on their lunch break.  I soon realized this was too cumbersome for them (though they did smile big at seeing the homemade cake).  We started giving them a thank you note and each a gift card to Chick-fil-a a few years back and have been doing it ever since.  Whether you decide to write them a thank you note, bake them something, or give them a gift of some sort, I encourage you to not forget them this holiday season.
