Today I did something I’ve never done before—I sold gold. My friend Allison Oaks of Platinum Realty is hosted an open house today where there was a gold buyer present. What a great way to get people to your open house, right?? She was telling me about how wonderful the Got Gold rep was, and I just so happened to have a couple of rings from the 1980s that I hadn’t worn since that time. I wasn’t “hard up” for the cash, so my plan was to show up and learn more. I thought, “What the hay, I’ll see how it goes!” I even planned my errands today so that I didn’t waste gas on the trip!
I was very impressed with the rep named Sandy. When she offered me $50 on two rings that wouldn’t have brought half that at a jewelry store or selling them on line, I jumped at the deal. Even Dave Ramsey is talking to his readers and listeners about gold resale.
