Reminder—A Mother’s Arms Trunk Show Today

Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Ali of Knoxmoms.com sent me the following information about a trunk show that is taking place today, 11/11/09 at 11:00:00 AM at Abode, 15 Market Square, Knoxville TN 37902.  As she said to me, all mommies can empathize with this story.  I hope you’ll show your support.

A Mother’s Arms was founded by one of my best friends Amy Jo Osborn three years ago when her 8 week old son Austin Hatcher passed away from pediatric cancer. From the time that they found out that he had cancer to the time that he passed was 11 days. Through their grief they began a clothing line “A Mother’s Arms” that all of the proceeds go to their foundation “The Austin Hatcher Foundation”. Their goal is to help families with children who either have cancer or have survived. Through their foundation they launched their first “Hatch House of Hope” inside Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. Family’s go there (looks like a living room) and have treatments with counseling, free babysitting to give their parents a break, financial help etc. in a nutshell Jim and Amy Jo have done so much in the past 3 years – more than most people accomplish in a lifetime. Because it is hard to translate into the right words, I have attached all three websites for you to read.
On November 11 we will be doing a trunk show at Abode featuring A Mother’s Arms. The majority of the proceeds will go straight to the foundation. Also for any child item that is purchased on that day at Abode we will give 10% to the foundation. This will be a great shopping event to load up on christmas gifts.
