If you're up for it, here is a budgeting/frugal homework: Think about one item that you need to buy sometime this month and think of a way to get it for cheaper than  you normally would pay for it.  Here are some ideas to get you going--search for on-line coupons, check the store circulars for sales, consider a bulk purchase with friends, contact the manufacturer to request coupons, contact the farmer or local vendor about a bulk purchase discount or seconds discount. Are you up for the challenge?
