Looking for an art class for children in Knoxville?

Many of our friends and family have signed their children up for art classes with “Miss” Amelia and have been thoroughly pleased with the results.  I’m hoping to sign our daughter up for the summer class schedule this year, and we are already looking forward to it!  If you are in our area, I hope you’ll check out the class list and her website, which is listed below.

Spring 2010 Classes

Drawing and Illustration

Tuesdays, 4:30-6:00pm, 6 weeks, February 2- March 9

This class will focus on different drawing techniques and explore the world of illustration!  Students will learn perspective drawing, realistic and animated techniques for drawing characters, and will work with different pieces of literature for inspiration!

Paper Fun

In this class we will explore the three dimensional qualities of paper. Students will learn origami (painting, printing, and designing their own squares!), a fun activity with masks using paper mache, and simple basketry techniques.

Intro. to Art

Thursdays, 10:00-11:00am, 4 weeks, February 18- March 11

Age 3-5, $50/student

This class is designed to introduce young children to the world of art making. Painting, drawing, collage, paper mache, and clay are just some of the projects used to help students develop fine motor skills and explore the imagination! If you have taken this class before, please join us again as projects will be different.
