Soak equal parts old fashioned oatmeal with milk (whole milk is the best) overnight in the fridge. In the morning heat the same amount of water as you added oats (1 cup oats, 1 cup milk, 1 cup water) with a pinch or two of salt. Add the oatmeal mixture and cook on medium heat until the mixture thickens and is warm throughout. Stir frequently while cooking. This will take about 3-5 minutes. Then serve with real maple syrup and a pat of butter. DELICIOUS!
Put the leftovers in single serving ramekins. The next morning, pop them into the toaster oven until they are heated and ready to enjoy.
