Check out this very cute centerpiece that my aunt made for my cousin’s baby shower! How cute is that!
She used new blocks, but many of us have these lying around the house. She used a hot glue gun to keep them stable and included words in the design “LOVE”, “KISS”, “JOE and OLGA”—the parents’ names. Once dry she used a hurricane type of vase in the center, filling it with foam and tissue paper. She suggested that you could also use Easter basket “grass” for the vase. She affixed teethers, rattles, and small toys to bamboo skewers (you could also cut thin dowels or use chopsticks for this purpose based on what you have at your house) to place in the vase as “flowers”. The result is a super cute centerpiece that can be taken apart and used for the baby. For the blocks that are glued together, she plans on making the block design into a lamp for later use in the nursery. How creative!
