The Great Cake Bake, Knoxville—Mark your calendars

Celebrating five sweet years of Imagination Library

bannerWhat's a birthday without a cake? This year, we're celebrating five sweet years of Imagination Library with a day devoted to cakes. Join us for a fun-filled day of sweetness on Saturday, March 13, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the L&N Train Station on World's Fair Park. The Great Cake Bake will highlight our area's best cake bakers, showcase competition cakes and even offer cakes for sale. General admission is only $5--and children ages 10 and younger get in for free! You can buy tickets at any Library location, or online.
There's something for everyone: professional showcase of celebration and wedding cakes, a demonstration stage featuring Chef Walter from WVLT, the cake decorating competition display, magic and music shows, cupcake decorating and a cake walk. There's even a book and bake sale--where you can pick up a great cookbook, or just walk away with a tasty treat.
Try your hand at the cake competition. Show off your cake decorating skills, whether you're a junior, beginner or pro. Enter here.
It's a sweet day, and all the funds raised will go to support Imagination Library--making sure that Knox County children will continue to get free books in the mail, every month, until age 5.  Learn more here.
