Tip of the day

In the past, I have always been frustrated when icing a cake.  I use icing bags with decorating tips, and even though I would hold the top of the bag tightly it would always squeeze out of the top.  Last week I was at Sugarbakers in Knoxville and saw these neat bag clips to help solve this problem.  Being the kind of gal I am, I didn’t want to buy something I didn’t need.  Instead I used a thick rubberband to tie the bag closed at the top.  It worked like a charm, and I frosted over 50 cupcakes without any bag overflow.
