Emergency Preparedness Tip of the Week--
This week is a good time to update the first aid kit you have in your home. I much prefer to have a kit that I can grab and go in case there is a problem outside or if I need to pack it for a long trip. Since these supplies may not be used very often, you’ll need to rotate out any medications or topical treatments that might have expired. If you do not yet have a first aid kit, make a point to pick up a plastic box this week. As you catch sales on aspirin, Neosporin, hand sanitizer, bandages or other first aid supplies, add them to the kit. If you have a larger family, you might make a list of what is included in the box and attach it to the outside. If Benadryl were needed for an allergic reaction but it was not stored in the kit, a person might be wasting time grabbing the first aid kit.
