Bridal Shower Games?

Hi folks!  I’m in need of your help.  I’m hosting a bridal shower at our church Sunday afternoon for a relatively new church member.  Most of the attendees will be middle aged to older adult women.  Given the guests and the setting, I’m in need of some bridal shower game ideas.  Frankly, most of the ones that I know are a bit on the naughty side.  LOL!  Any ideas for me?  Any websites that you’ve used before for ideas?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

  1. I went to a bridal shower once when we played "I've Never" (which CAN be a naughty game but can be a bit controlled). We played it with M&Ms. It would probably work best in a smaller group (don't know how many you are expecting) but it was fun. Each player is given a set amount of M&Ms and you go around the circle, each person saying something they have "never", i.e. I have never owned a red car. If that is said and you have owned a red car, you eat an M&M. The last person with M&Ms left wins.
Blessings to you for throwing the shower and good luck on finding the games!

  2. I have lots of ideas as I LOVE hosting parties and all the ones I have hosted and attended have been church related!
    1. Make a word scramble using words that have to do with marriage. Given a time limit the one to unscramble the most wins a prize. I always give a prize to the winner and one to the bride to be.
    2. When she is opening her presents, have someone write down everything she says. Then read it under the title, "Everything You Will Say On Your Wedding Night."
    3. Take rolls of toilet paper and divide into two teams. Have each team pick a model. Each team is to design a wedding dress for the bride and make it on the model they have chosen. The bride chooses which one she likes the best.
    4. Give everyone a sheet of paper and a pencil or pen as well as a book or magazine to bear down on. Have everyone place the book and paper on top of their head and draw the bride in her wedding dress. Let the bride choose the one she likes the best.
    5. Clothespin game. Give everyone a clothespin. Choose a secret word such as wedding or husband or something you may say a lot at a bridal shower. Each time someone says the word they loose a clothespin to the one who heard them saying it. The person with the most clothespins at the end of the shower wins.
    6. Count the number of bows/ribbons she breaks will determine how many children she will have.
    7. Take all the bos and ribbons and arrange them on a plate with scotch tape into a bouquet which she can use at the wedding rehearsal.

Those are a few. Let me know if you need any more details. Hope they help some! Also, hope you have a great shower!

  3. We threw my friend a shower last weekend. We bought a few games from here: http://www.games4bridalshowers.com/bridal-shower-games
They were great fun, and only cost a few dollars. It saved us loads of time having to think up our own game ideas - we have enough to do what with planning the Big day!
