Mark Your Calendars—Ladies Night Out September 30th, Knoxville

Back by popular demand, Faith UMC presents Ladies Night Out on Thursday, September 30th from 6-8pm. Last year the event was a huge success. Women were able to fellowship, enjoy some delicious refreshments, relax with some pampering, and get a jumpstart on their holiday shopping.

Vendors are donating a portion of their revenue for the evening to Faith United Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome, and we hope you will bring friends and family for a “girls night”. Admission is FREE and there will be chances to win plenty of door prizes!

More details: Faith United Methodist Church is located on the corner of Dry Gap Pike and Rifle Range Road at 1120 Dry Gap Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918. (865) 688-1000. www.faithseekers.org or e-mail me if you have questions.

Vendors—

Avon—If you think that Avon only sells make-up, you are in for a surprise! I was impressed with the jewelry that they have in their catalog. A friend recently told me that she loves their lipsticks, and of course there is always the staple of the Avon Skin-So-Soft.

Celebrating Home—Everyone who has told me about Celebrating Home has raved about their candles! I bought some last year for relatives, and they loved them!

Circular Bible Verses—Check out samples of Sharon’s amazing artwork at her website. She is new to the event this year, and we are so excited to have her!

Clover Cottage--Located on Hotel Ave in the heart of Fountain City, this little gift shop has something for everyone, from custom embroidered items to gifts for your favorite UT fan and everything in between.

Curves—While Curves won’t have a booth this year, they are providing a great door prize that you’ll have a chance to win! Have you been to a Curves yet? If not, you should check it out.

Debbie Black Designs from the Heart—A church member met Debbie at another event and said that we must have her participate at ours. She specializes in wreaths and arrangements, and I look forward to picking out one for our home! She is also a new addition to the vendor list this year.

Homemade Gourmet—In addition to gourmet and up-scale food mixes, they offer a bundle deal to help save some money. Delana had samples of different mixes last year. I receive her email newsletter and have been salivating over some of the dessert options. I bought a few of her products last year, and they were so handy to have available when I needed a quick appetizer.

Icing on the Cake—Lori’s specialty cakes are a huge hit at any birthday party or special event. She is making one of her fantastic creations for the refreshment table this year. YUMMMMMY!

La Selva MedSpa—I am thrilled that they will be coming! They were a HUGE hit last year, and they are trying to secure two massage therapists this year.

Mary Kay—I love this company for how they empower women! The Satin Hands gift set makes a wonderful gift.

Miche Bags--These bags are the "perfect solution for women on the go". You've seen these advertised on TV, and now you'll get to check them out in person.

Pampered Chef—If you do not get any other item from Pampered Chef, I recommend their trifle bowl as a must have. I use trifle dishes for a lot of recipes, and I was always so frustrated with how I had to store them. The Pampered Chef trifle has a pedestal that fits inside of the bowl AND a lid for easy storage.

Premier Designs Jewelry—The jewelry on their website is amazing. Since last year’s event I’ve become a Premier addict! I have many of their pieces, and I receive compliments on them all of the time.

Stella & Dot—If you’ve read a magazine or watched entertainment TV shows in the last year, you’ve seen their jewelry. Super fashionable and feminine, we are very happy to have a Stella and Dot rep joining us this year! I have already spotted a few necklaces that I want to buy!

Thirty-One—Check out the bags on their website! Their newest catalog has some great designs. I plan to pick up, among other things, a new purse for me and a bib for my nephew.

Tupperware—My favorite item in the catalog is their sandwich keeper. We have been impressed with how well the ones we have had held up over the years.

Uppercase Living—Does that wall space in your kitchen need a little pizzazz? Check out the Uppercase Living catalog to get the designer look for a lot less. A few of our church members ordered wall decor through them last year and they have been very pleased. View some of their designs at one of our church member’s stores—The Fishing Place, located in Halls in the Kmart shopping center.

Usborne Books—I hosted a book party a year ago, and I received enough free books for most of my young relatives for the holidays. We love their Spanish DVD, and my nephews went on and on about how cool the dinosaur books were.

There are a handful of other vendors who are trying to work out scheduling so that they can be present. I’ll update you with their information as I hear more.
