Sorry that I don’t have a photo of this recipe—it is always eaten too quickly for a photograph.
3 blocks of cream cheese, softened
2 c. powdered sugar
6 T. butter, softened
Use an electric mixer to blend the ingredients together. I almost always adjust the amount of sugar that I add to my guests’ tastes. I’ve even used rapadura instead of powdered sugar as a slightly healthier option. The rapadura, of course, will add a brown tint to the frosting.
Another option for flavoring is vanilla. If you want the mixture to remain white, use clear vanilla extract. Otherwise add approx 1/4-1/2 t. high quality vanilla extract for this recipe.
This recipe is a super simple way to jazz up a boxed cake mix. It can easily be dyed or add a bit of sprinkles, colored sugar, or edible flowers to the top for garnish. Plus, it is delicious! Enjoy!

Yum! I love that it has 3 ingredients!
