Knox County Public Library, Food for Fines TODAY

Today is the day to settle your debts(and you know who you are!) Today, Tuesday, November 16th, is Amnesty Day at the Knox County Public Library with a canned good donation.

In lieu of collecting fines, the Library will be collecting food for the Second Harvest Food Bank on Tuesday, November 16. Just bring in your overdue material in good condition along with a can of nonperishable food to any library location, and you will be back in good standing. Up to $50 of fines can be relieved per account; one item will cancel out $5 of fines. Fees for Unique Management, lost or damaged materials do not apply. The most needed food items are canned tuna or chicken and peanut butter. For more information, please call 215-8767.

Thanks Sharing Savings with You for the information!!!

  1. Hello, was there an amnesty day this year, 2011? Thanks! :)

  2. I've emailed a friend who works for the library to find out. Will keep you posted.

  3. My friend said that she has not heard of one yet. I'll keep my eyes peeled to see if one might be posted in the library newsletters.
