Tip of the day—Pay your bills electronically

Switch to bill paying online to save money on stamps and to reduce your use of checks.  Not only will you save a little money on that, but you are less likely to have late fees because you forgot to pay a bill or misplaced it when it arrived at your house.  You are also reducing your household’s paper waste—isn’t it interesting how what is often good for the environment is also good for your wallet?

I’m sure I’ll get some comments from people about the safety of this.  Install a good security software on your computer and update it often.  Don’t leave your passwords around and make sure that they are secure enough to not be easily guessed.  Pay bills on your home computer, not on a public computer, to reduce security risks.  Hope that helps!
