If you haven’t made it into Kroger for the latest Mega Event Sale yet, I suggest that you try to find time this week. I decided I wanted a little time to shop today and made a quick trip. I did two transactions—1 for us and 1 for the church. Below are some details:
Our transaction, saved 82.38%
FREE--16 boxes Ronzoni pasta, 1 Better than Oats, 1 Suave hairspray, 2 Boulder potato chips. Also bought 4 more bags of Boulder chips, 2 Silk almond milk, 2 Mom's Best cereal, 2 Freschetta pizzas, 2 tins of almonds and ripe bananas. Spent $14. 95 total. I’ll be donating the Ronzoni to the church, and I have no idea why I didn’t put it on the church’s transaction instead of ours. I’m sure that Uncle Sam will be happy that I paid some extra unnecessary tax. Oh well!
Church’s transaction, saved 71.13%
FREE—22 Propel Fitness Waters, 2 Boulder Natural Chips. Also bought 4 Ragu no sugar added sauces, 5 Kroger cheeses (I had a $1.50 off $7 dairy coupon and a 50cts/2 Kroger cheese coupon, which made this a pretty good deal), 4 Mott’s Apple Juices, 2 Sunny D, 4 more bags of Boulder chips, 1 Country Time lemonade mix (I had a 55ct/1 coupon and they were on sale for $2). The Ragu, cheese, and apple juice will be used for Wednesday’s meal for the kids. The waters, chips, and Sunny D will go to the youth group’s mission trip this summer. The lemonade mix will be added to the stockpile for VBS. Spent a total of $28.90.
To learn more about the coupons that I used, visit the weekly matchup for Kroger at www.southernsavers.com . Our local store was completely out of all of the Nivea body washes and they didn’t seem hopeful about getting anymore in anytime soon. If I am by another Kroger I might stop in to see if I can get some of them for the church food pantry.
