Today is my birthday. In lieu of the tip of the day, I have a little request. Hundreds of you visit this site and the CICT Facebook page every day. I think about what you all must be like as I write my posts—you come from all over the US and countries around the world. Sometimes I wonder how someone in the UK or Zimbabwe even found the blog, but somehow you did and stumbled upon a post or some search engine brought you here. I am so blessed that each of you choose to spend even a few minutes of your days with me, and I’m so encouraged by your kind comments, “Likes” and emails.
I was hoping that you might be able to give me a birthday present. No, I’m not requesting something tangible—you don’t have to go shopping or buy anything. Remember that movie Pay It Forward? The idea behind that story is one of my favorites. I’m wondering if you can give me the gift of paying it forward today? As you go through your day, do something for someone else. Not the usual stuff like saying please and thank you, something intentional and special that you did to help someone else. It doesn’t really matter what it is to me, and it doesn’t have to be anything big. The thought of each of you who read this post doing that makes me happy beyond words. If each of you who happen upon this blog, this post, intentionally does something to help make your corner of the world a better place…well, that to me would be the best birthday present you could give me.
Thank you sweet reader for spending your moments with me. Thank you!
